Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil.
As part of His Highness’s tour of a number of Latin American and Caribbean countries, he visited Brazil.
The meeting between H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and H.E. Mauro Vieira took place in Brazil capital “Brasília”.
Moreover, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
They also reviewed the opportunities available to develop joint cooperation in several areas.
Including the economy, development, food security, renewable energy, and climate change.
They’ve also touched on Brazil’s preparations to host the G20 presidency in its next session in 2024.
In addition to the outcomes of the UAE & Brazil participation in the G20 summit held in India last month.
Brazil supported the UAE access to BRICS group.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Mauro Vieira discussed the joint cooperation between the UAE & Brazil within the BRICS group framework.
After the UAE officially joined the group.
His Highness praised the support of Brazil for the UAE’s access to the group.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also informed Mr. Mauro Vieira about the UAE preparations to host COP28.
Which will be in November and December of this year in Dubai Expo City.
Moreover, the two ministers agreed on COP 28 importance as it is advancing the bilateral cooperation between the two countries on climate change.
It is also achieving a qualitative transformation in the course of global climate action.
Strong Growing Relations between the UAE and Brazil extended for 50 years.
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the strategic partnership between the UAE & Brazil is strong and growing.
This partnership supports the visions of the two friendly countries to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development in all sectors.
His Highness said:
“The UAE and Brazil will celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations establishment by next year.
Also, they have the will and common desire to move forward with their strategic partnership towards broader horizons of growth and development in all fields.”
For his part, H.E. Mauro Vieira praised the distinguished strategic partnership with the UAE.
He also expressed his best wishes to the UAE for its success in hosting COP 28 by this year at Dubai Expo City.
