The UAE and Hungary are discussing cooperation in the new economic sectors.
H.E Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri discussed ways of strengthening economic relations with Peter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.
In addition to discussing the possibility of the UAE side contributing to a group of projects in the infrastructure, transport and real estate sectors in Hungary.
This came on the sidelines of the official visit of the UAE delegation to participate in the “Belt and Road Initiative” summit in Hong Kong.
Which took place between 13 to 14 September 2023.
More than 5,000 business leaders from around the world participated in this summit.
High-level official visits between the UAE and Hungary reflect Strong and Solid relations.
Abdullah bin Touq stressed that the UAE and Republic of Hungary enjoy strong and solid relations.
Especially in the context of the exchange of high-level official visits between the two countries.
Which resulted in the establishment of important tracks for cooperation during the next phase in various fields.
In addition to the constant keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to strengthen these relations.
As well as supporting them for more growth and prosperity.
During the meeting, His Excellency said:
“We are keen to continue to strengthen economic relations with Hungary.
Especially as trade exchanges are witnessing continuous growth.
Our meeting today with the Hungarian side is an important step towards building partnerships in the new economic sectors.
In addition to exploring more promising investment opportunities in the markets of the two countries.
And also strengthening communication between the business communities of the UAE and Hungary.”
Increasing growth in the air traffic between the UAE and Hungary to enhance tourism cooperation.
Moreover, the UAE and Hungarian sides discussed mechanisms to enhance tourism cooperation during the next phase.
Also to increase the exchange of tourist delegations between the two countries.
In addition to supporting the utilization of the bilateral agreements signed between the two sides in the aviation sector.
Since the air traffic between the two countries is witnessing increasing growth.
The total number of flights reached 74 flights per month via the United Arab Emirates national airline.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening joint cooperation in the sectors of the circular economy.
Also, Abdullah bin Touq reviewed the efforts of the UAE in promoting the transition to a circular economy.
Besides the targets and plans of the “UAE Circular Economy Agenda 2031”.
And also its importance in enhancing sustainability in the state by the next decade.
UAE Circular Economy Agenda 2031
The agenda includes the implementation of 22 circular economy policies within four main sectors.
Including manufacturing, food, infrastructure, and transportation.
This will strengthen the UAE’s position as a global center for the circular economy.
The UAE and Hungarian sides looked forward to the importance of the fourth session of the Joint Economic Committee.
As well as its pivotal role in enhancing the prospects for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Also its role in opening new channels for communication between businessmen and investors.
In addition to entrepreneurs in the markets of the two countries.
