The first international bus service between Ras Al Khaimah and Musandam – Oman will enhance the movement of individuals and tourists.
The first international bus service connecting the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah with the governorate of Musandam in Oman launched successfully.
As per Ras Al Khaimah Public Transport Authority, the agreement was signed at the Musandam Governorate headquarters.
This service will surely enhance the movement of individuals and tourists between the two countries.
The following gentlemen attended the agreement signing in Musandam:
-Ibrahim bin Saeed Al Busaidy, governor of Musandam.
-Eng. Ismail Hassan Al Balushi, director general of the Ras Al Khaimah Public Transport Authority.
-Eng. Nasser Al Hosani, director general of the municipality of Musandam Governorate.
The agreement signing is a starting point for future cooperation between the two parties to implement joint projects.
Engineer Ismail Hassan Al Balushi, director general of the Ras Al Khaimah Public Transport Authority, confirmed the following:
“The signing of this agreement is a starting point for future cooperation between the two parties.
Also its a starting point for the implementation of joint projects in the field of public and tourist transportation.
This will surely benefit the citizens, residents, and tourists of the two countries.
The launch of the First International Bus Service comes within the authority’s strategic objectives.
Which aims at encouraging public transportation.
As well as promoting shared mobility as one of the sustainable land transportation solutions.
The First International Bus Service between RAK and Musandam will provide safe, reliable, and smart transportation means.
Al Balushi added:
“Launching the First International Bus Service between Ras Al Khaimah and Musandam comes to enhance the strategic partnership.
Also to provide land passenger transportation services, in preparation for future expansion.
In order to cover new areas and launch new projects that interest the two parties.
Pursuant to the agreement, RAK Public Transport Authority will operate its buses from the main bus station located in the southern Dhait area.
While the bus route will end in Khasab, a governorate of Musandam.
It is worth noting that the bus route includes passing through a number of stop locations within the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
Including the Ramus and Sham areas, and the Harf, Qadah, Balha, and Tibat areas within the Musandam Governorate.
