New Emblem For Dubai Emirate as per Law No. (17) of 2023 by Dubai Ruler.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued Law No. (17) of 2023 on the Emblem of the Emirate of Dubai.
The law states that the Emirate of Dubai shall have its own emblem.
Moreover, Dubai Emblem reflects its civilization, values, and principles.
While the determined shape of the emblem is according to the model attached to the law.
Also, the emblem is the property of the Emirate of Dubai, protected under this law and the legislation in force therein.
Use of Dubai New Emblem.
According to the law, the use of the emblem is in buildings, sites, events, activities, and events.
As well as official records, documents, websites, and digital applications of the government and government entities.
Furthermore, non-governmental entities may have permission to use the emblem with special permission from the Ruler of Dubai or his delegate.
Mentioning that such use should be in accordance with the purposes and controls specified in this permit.
The emblem aforementioned entities can also use the emblem.
Surely in accordance with the method and requirements specified in the guide prepared by the Dubai Ruler’s Court.
In coordination with the relevant entities in the emirate.
And also approved by the Head of the Court by a decision issued by him in this regard, and published in the Official Gazette of the Government of Dubai.
Prohibited acts
According to the law, any person should not use the emblem without obtaining the permission referred to in this law.
It is also prohibited for any person to tamper with the emblem in any way.
Or to distort it or harm its value or status in any way.
Or to use it in any activity or event that is contrary to the values and principles of the Emirate of Dubai, or that conflicts with public order and public morals.
Penalties
Without prejudice to any more severe penalty provided for by any other legislation.
The law stipulates that whoever commits any of the prohibited acts stipulated in this law shall be punished by imprisonment.
For a period of not less than three months and not more than five years.
And also by a fine of not less than one hundred thousand dirhams and not more than five hundred thousand dirhams, or by one of these two penalties.
In the event of a conviction, the court shall order the confiscation of the tools and equipment used in committing the crime.
Regularization of the situation
Any person who is using the emblem on the date of the entry into force of this law other than entities authorized to use it must remove it.
And stop using it completely within thirty days of the date of the entry into force of this law.
Unless he has obtained the special permit referred to in this law.
His Highness the Head of the Dubai Ruler’s Court shall issue the necessary decisions to implement the provisions of this law.
Any provision in any other legislation to the extent that it conflicts with its provisions shall be repealed.
This law shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force on the date of its publication.
