UAE Delegation to 15th BRICS Summit Arrived at Johannesburg – South Africa Yesterday.
Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi heads the UAE delegation to the 15th BRICS Summit
On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, will lead the UAE delegation to the 15th BRICS Summit.
The city of Johannesburg in South Africa will host the 15th BRICS Summit from August 22 to 24.
His Highness arrived earlier yesterday evening at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
Moreover, the delegation to the summit includes HE Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State.
HE Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
And also HE Mohsen Saeed Al Hamli, UAE Ambassador to South Africa, and a number of senior officials.
Heads of state and government from the BRICS countries will attend the 15th BRICS summit, including:
-the Russian Federation.
-China.
-India.
-Brazil.
-South Africa.
Leaders from around 50 countries have also been invited to attend the summit to discuss expanding the current BRICS membership.
In addition to exploring a number of global economic issues and strengthening economic partnerships.
And also support the efforts of developing and emerging economies.
In order to increase their contribution to global economic growth and achieve sustainable development goals in all societies.
About the BRICS group:
The term was initially coined in 2001 by British economist Jim O’Neill.
Jim believed that these five countries had the potential to become significant players in the global economy due to their large populations and growing economies.

It is worth noting that the BRICS group was founded in 2006 and includes five of the leading emerging markets:
