Based on The Global Competitiveness Report 2023, The UAE is at the top in the Middle East and North Africa region for the seventh consecutive year.
The UAE achieved the 10th global ranking which is two positions higher than the previous year.
It is a pleasure that the UAE has demonstrated outstanding performance in the main axis of the report starting from government efficiency.
The UAE has achieved first place globally in the government efficiency due to the following:
- The government’s ability to adapt to changes.
- Bureaucracy absence.
- Decrease in the collected personal income tax rate.
- Decreased compensation costs for end-of-service for workers.
Also, The UAE has recorded advancement from sixth place fourth place in economic performance.
Along with advancement to 16th place globally in business efficiency.
We have to mention that The UAE ranks within the top ten globally in the following eight sub-axis:
- Global trade
- Basic infrastructure
- Local economy and tax policy
- Employment and labor market
- Attitudes and values
- Business legislation.
