Saif bin Zayed attended the finale of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways

On Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended at Yas Marina Circuit the finale of the Formula1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2020.

His Highness crowned Max Emilian Verstappen the Dutch driver in the presence of Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), and Chase Carey, Formula One Group CEO, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak.

His Highness said that the United Arab Emirates’s success in hosting the world last round of Formula 1 in 2020 during these exceptional circumstances reaffirms the capabilities of the United Arab Emirates and the excellence of its national cadres in transforming the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which is a distinct addition to the UAE’s track record of continuous achievements.

His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed thanked the organisers of the world championship, expressing his appreciation to the partners for their significant role in the success of the United Arab Emirates’s hosting of this global sports event in an honourable appearance that matches the United Arab Emirates’s excellent global reputation for organising events on par with the highest standards.

His Highness stated that the UAE is moving forward towards the future, and after 49 years of success since it was established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the state is making it a beacon of security and stability and an oasis of coexistence, fraternity and wellbeing, and advancing towards development and building.

In his speech celebrating the UAE’s 49th National Day, His Highness said, “The UAE is accomplishing further achievements with confidence and determination, because of the wisdom and vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, supported by Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.”
