President Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived at Riyadh to Attend the ASEAN – GCC Summit.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, arrived in the city of Riyadh.
In order to head the state delegation to the first “Riyadh Summit”.
Which is between the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf *GCC* and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The joint statement issued during this historical event reaffirms the commitment of both regions to deepening their cooperation.
Moreover, all GCC countries have agreed to join the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation with ASEAN.
This is signifying their dedication to strengthening ties and exploring various avenues of collaboration.
Key highlights from the summit include a commitment to peace and security.
As well as prosperity through respect for international law and the principles of good neighborliness.
The leaders emphasized their joint efforts to achieve peaceful resolution of disputes.
By refraining from using or threatening force.
Areas of Cooperation between GCC – ASEAN.
They discussed specific areas of cooperation including maritime and communications.
In addition to sustainable development goals and economics.
As well as other potential areas of collaboration.
Both regions committed to enhancing trade and investment flows.
Also, they announced the upcoming economic and investment conference to be hosted by Saudi Arabia in the first half of 2024.
The leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the two regions at both bilateral and multilateral levels.

The UAE delegation to the summit includes:

-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
-Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, H.E Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi.
-His Excellency Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, the diplomatic advisor to His Highness.
-The President and His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif Al Nahyan, the UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
