Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) made huge efforts to enhance the reliability and availability of Dubai’s power transmission system.
DEWA has launched 7 new 132 kV substations during the first half of this year.
In addition to 36 kilometers of underground transmission cables.
In order to enhance and improve the efficiency of the power transmission network.
Moreover, DEWA has implemented and launched the projects in below areas in Dubai:
-The Jaddaf, Al Rigga and Jebel Ali Port.
In addition to Dubai Marina,Al Yafra and Second Area in Jebel Ali.
In fact, the projects required more than 6.8 million safe working hours.
H.E Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO and Managing Director of DEWA, explaining about the achievements of 2023.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer explained that the cost of the new 132 kV transmission stations is over AED 962 million.
Also the latest globally approved digital technologies are used.

DEWA has achieved 100% in the reliability and availability of Dubai’s power transmission system.
Moreover, Al Tayer pointed out that the total value of projects for the electricity transmission network under construction at the Authority exceeds AED 4.2 billion.
Also, he pointed out that the Authority relies on the latest fourth industrial revolution solutions technologies.
As well as the smart technologies, and innovative practices in all its service and operations.
In fact, DEWA’s achievement is the best one among service institutions at the global level.
