Artificial Intelligence used in Dubai Taxi Corporation.
Dubai Taxi Corp. under the umbrella of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, has explained that it uses AI technology.
In order to monitor and track the performance of its drivers.
And also the movement of its vehicles (taxis, limousines, school buses, commercial buses, and motorcycles).
Areas of high demand
Ammar Al Breiki, Director of Fleet Operations at Dubai Taxi Corporation, said:
“We are always keen to highlight the efforts of the control center .
Also we are keen to inform the public and road users about the corporation’s role in using smart technologies and systems.
In order to monitor and track 7,200 vehicles and the performance of 14,500 drivers.
The center’s tasks also include helping senior management to make appropriate decisions with flexibility and in record time.
As well as providing a main schedule for events organized in Dubai.
So we can distribute the taxi fleet according to demand and redirect empty vehicles to areas of high demand.”
Also he added: “Through the center, the behavior of drivers is monitored.
In order to ensure their compliance with the controls specified for 400 limousine vehicles, 1,000 school buses, and 600 delivery motorcycles.
The center also monitors the route of vehicles and ensures the safety of transportation operations.”
Tracking 1,000 school buses
Al Breiki also explained that the corporation is keen to track 1,000 school buses.
Which ensures the safety of students and their arrival at schools and homes on time.
This is done by monitoring the progress of trips and student information.
In addition to the drivers’ adherence to working hours, observing their behavior, and providing immediate alert service when necessary.

Al Breiki said that the center monitors 5,200 taxis to ensure the following:
-Continuity of the service around the clock.
-Provide support to drivers.
-Respond to drivers calls.
-Direct drivers to the places where the service is most in demand.
It also measures the daily efficiency of vehicle movement and mobility.
In addition it analyzes data, and takes the necessary measures to raise the level of performance in line with the needs of customers.
