The Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation is celebrating the “World Humanitarian Day” on August 19th.
Coinciding with the 31st anniversary of the foundation’s establishment by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
It was the first charitable and humanitarian organization to provide assistance to over 177 countries worldwide.
About The Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation.
The Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation was established in 1992.
Following an Amiri Decree issued by the founder and owner of the charity, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan.
With an amount of US$ one million as an endowment fund.
Whereby all its revenue would be utilized to fund projects.
As well as charitable and humanitarian activities inside and outside the UAE.
The Foundation strives at remaining outstanding in delivering charitable and humanitarian activities.
Also it aims at improving the living standards of all human beings.
It remains committed to applying a quality management system in all its activities.
Besides disseminating this policy to all its partners, in the UAE and abroad.
OBJECTIVES
Charitable work
To contribute in the establishment and support of cultural and scientific research centers and institutions.
ِWhich are concerned with raising awareness and the true definition of the teachings of the religion Islam.
In addition to its literature and heritage, and the contributions of scientists in the development of human civilization.
Education
To contribute in the establishment and support of schools and institutes of public and higher education.
And also to scientific research centers, public libraries and vocational training institutions.
In addition to providing scholarships, and supporting the efforts of authoring, translation and publishing.
Health
To contribute to the establishment and support of hospitals, dispensaries, health rehabilitation homes.
As well as medical ambulance societies, orphanages, childcare centers, older citizens’ centers and functional needs.
Relief
To contribute to the relief of the affected areas due to natural and social disasters such as famines, earthquakes, floods, storms and gales.
In addition to supporting research and efforts to monitor the probability of occurrences and reserves to confront and contain them.
Awards
Establishing local and international scientific awards that honor scientists and researchers.
In addition to community service personnel that are providing studies, discoveries or pioneering scientific efforts to bring interests.
As well as achieving progress and prosperity for human beings.
The Pledge
The Foundation pledges to continue working under the slogan of “hard work” derived from the words of Late Sheikh Zayed:
