Mentioning that the award coincides with the first anniversary of the airport’s operation and the UAE’s 53rd Union Day celebrations.
In just one year since its operation, Zayed International Airport has secured the top spot in this prestigious category.

Zayed International Airport Can Accommodate up to 11,000 Passengers per Hour
This award highlights the airport’s pioneering design, which blends modern technology with the rich cultural heritage of the UAE.
The design spans 742,000 square meters, with the capacity to accommodate up to 11,000 passengers per hour and 79 aircraft simultaneously.
This doubles the airport’s previous capacity, allowing it to handle up to 45 million passengers annually.
Plans are in place to launch nine biometric identity checkpoints by 2025, marking a world-first achievement.
