WorldTrader: Covers 77 Stock Markets
HSBC has announced the launch of the “WorldTrader” platform in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This digital platform facilitates investment and trading, allowing UAE clients to access a wide range of international securities.
The platform covers 77 stock markets across 25 exchanges and directly executes customer orders for global investments.
80% of Global Stock Market Value Available on Your Mobile
According to a press release from the bank, the platform will grant wealth management and personal banking clients access to approximately 80% of the global stock market value.
Moreover, users can trade stocks, investment funds, tradable bonds, and participate in mutual funds.
They can do so either through the “HSBC” mobile app or via online banking services.
The UAE is the first market within HSBC’s global network to launch the “WorldTrader” platform.
Other selected markets in Asia and the Middle East are expected to follow suit.
Results from HSBC’s 2024 survey of wealthy investors revealed that over 55% of participants in the UAE plan to increase their overseas investments.
The UAE remains one of the top five markets for wealth and personal banking services globally.
This is according to Denish Sharma, Regional Head of Wealth Management and Personal Banking for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at HSBC.
