This discussion was on investment in Syria and its economic future.
A group of Syrian businessmen from various sectors attended the meeting.
It addressed Syria’s economic trajectory, development priorities, and future direction.
Discussions also covered ways to encourage investment in Syria as part of ongoing efforts to rebuild the country.

Future of Health Summit
The Future of Health Summit was held on the second day of World Governments Summit 2025.
Future of Health Summit participants emphasized that 3.6 billion people are already living in areas highly vulnerable to climate change, which negatively impacts health.
They highlighted that between 2030 and 2050, climate change is expected to cause an additional 250,000 deaths annually.
Due to malnutrition, malaria, diarrhea, and heat stress.
Speakers pointed out that estimates indicate the direct health-related costs are expected to range between $2 billion and $4 billion per year by 2030.
This excludes costs in health-related sectors such as agriculture, water, and sanitation services.

Developing Countries will struggle to cope with the climate change
They stressed that regions lacking strong healthcare infrastructure, particularly in developing countries, will struggle to cope without external assistance for preparedness and response efforts.
Participants also noted that pharmaceutical companies aim to keep the world dependent on them.
Whereas individuals can avoid visiting doctors for months by simply adopting a healthy lifestyle.
In her speech, Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing climate change.
She highlighted the negative impact of certain countries’ energy production policies on people’s lives.
During the session on Redesigning the Future of Health Investments, participants stressed that investing in health data and individuals’ medical histories is one of the key factors in disease prevention.
While Luke Gilbert, Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, emphasized that health sector investments require a long-term approach and global collaboration, particularly in addressing genetic diseases by understanding population genetics.
