United Arab Emirates Condemns Israeli Attack on World Central Kitchen Staff
The United Arab Emirates condemned the Israeli attack on the World Central Kitchen Foundation’s team in Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said:
“The attack is a heinous crime and a flagrant violation of the rules of international humanitarian law.
Israel should take full responsibility for this dangerous development.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for urgent, independent and transparent investigation on what happened.
It also called for the punishment of the responsible.
The UAE Expressed its Sincere Condolences to the Victims’ Families and States
Moreover, the Ministry stressed the need for an immediate cessation of violence and avoidance of targeting civilians, civilian institutions, relief objects and institutions.
Mentioning that Israel should stop using the food as a weapon.
Adding that there should be immediate protection for humanitarian assistance.
The UAE also expressed its sincere condolences to the victims’ families and States and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured.
Regional and international efforts should focus on the immediate protection of civilians.
In addition to providing humanitarian assistance and intensified efforts to end the escalation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and in the region.
The UAE and Cyprus condemned Israel’s Attack in a Joint Statement
Furthermore, in a joint statement, the UAE and Cyprus strongly condemned Israel’s attack on the Global Central Kitchen Foundation.
The targeting of humanitarian workers was a flagrant violation of all international treaties guaranteeing the protection of relief and rescue workers.
They stressed that the humanitarian disaster in Gaza required the adoption of such a collective international approach.
Which will urgently mitigate the threat on the lives of innocent civilians.
This is by ensuring the prompt, safe, sustainable and unimpeded flow of assistance.

They stressed that Palestinian families urgently needed basic requirements to prevent the worsening of the health situation.
It is therefore essential that Israel exercise its responsibility to protect humanitarian workers.
Who should be able to do this vital work safely and without fear for their lives.
