Bad Boys: Ride or Die premieres in Dubai with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were in Dubai to attend the world premiere of Bad Boys 4, Bad Boys: Ride or Die.
The premier was held on Wednesday at the Coca-Cola Arena.
The stars of the action-comedy franchise were joined by a host of other celebrities.
The celebrities included Jada Pinkett Smith, Alexander Ludwig, and Vanessa Hudgens for the star-studded event.
Smith and Lawrence spoke to The National about their excitement to be in Dubai for the premiere.
They also talked about hopes for the future of the Bad Boys franchise.
Dubai is always on the map for the biggest and brightest stars.
Smith said he was “thrilled” that Dubai was the first stop for the Middle East premiere of the film.
“Dubai is a global city and is always on the map for the biggest and brightest stars and producers.
Because it has strong assets that serve the international film industry,” he said.
Smith also revealed that he would like to see Dubai featured in a future installment of the Bad Boys franchise.
“It would be a new idea to move the events of the film away from Miami, where all the previous installments took place, and to think of going to one of the world’s cities,” he said.
“And there’s no better place than Dubai for any story or scenario for any work of art.”
Lawrence is in Dubai for the first time.
Lawrence echoed Smith’s sentiments, saying he was “happy to be in Dubai for the first time.”.
He was “looking forward to enjoying his time here.”
He also said he was “very open” to the idea of Dubai being part of the story in future installments of the franchise.
Both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence also expressed their preference for Bad Boys to remain a film franchise rather than be adapted into a television series.

“The cinema is the main and original place for this series, despite the attractiveness of digital streaming platforms,” Lawrence said.
The premiere of Bad Boys: Ride or Die is a major coup for Dubai.
As it further cements the city’s reputation as a global hub for entertainment.
The film is going to be released in UAE theaters on June 6th.
