Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the fourth son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander in Chief of the UAE Armed Forces. As well as, His Highness, Theyab is the fourth child of Muhammad bin Zaid and Sheikh Saleh bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, who married in 1981 and have eight other children.

He graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology in Florida, USA. He is the head of the Diwan of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, established in 1976.
