Aviation Future Week in Dubai Between 15 in 17 October
Emirates Airlines and the Museum of the Future unveiled the official speakers and agenda details for the Aviation Future Week, set to take place from October 15 to 17, 2024, in Dubai.
Adel Al Redha, Chief Operating Officer of Emirates Airlines, said:
“Aviation Future Week will feature 30 speakers from leading experts and specialists in aviation, aerospace, air cargo, logistics, and maintenance.
As well as prominent figures from the technology industry and academia.
This reflects the wide range of topics that will be covered during the sessions, offering insightful discussions, unique perspectives, and interactive workshops on priorities for the future of the industry.”
Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, emphasized that the event will provide a vital platform to showcase the latest developments and future opportunities in aviation.
As it is facilitating the exchange of successful practices and unifying visions and efforts to design the future of this important sector.
It will also support the use of advanced technology to enhance service efficiency and develop aviation growth strategies for the near and long term.
On the Agenda of the Aviation Future Week
Day One:
The first day of Aviation Future Week will focus on the passenger journey and operational challenges amid the strong global demand for travel.
H.E. Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, will deliver the opening speech.
Followed by a keynote address from H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
Abdul Wahab Teffaha, Secretary General of the Arab Air Carriers Organization, will discuss balancing travel demand with innovative passenger solutions.
In addition to the improvement of their experience on the ground.
Sessions:
The first session will address increasing travel demand.
Especially in crowded airport environments and supply chain constraints.
The session will include the following gentlemen, who will share long-term insights on aviation capacity:
- Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai
- Adel Ali, CEO of Air Arabia
- Wouter Van Wersch, Executive VP of Airbus International
In a side session, Werner Vogels, CTO of Amazon, will discuss the company’s approach to automation, biometric operations, and real-time data to ensure smooth travel experiences.
The second session will include:
- Khalifa Al Zaffin, CEO of Dubai Aviation City Corporation
- Ayman Abu Abah, CEO of Riyadh Airports
- Serkan Aydın, Head of Digital and Commercial Services at Istanbul International Airport
- Omar bin Adi, CTO at Dubai Airports
- Nicolas Vandeput, Executive VP at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
They will explore updating airport infrastructure and the next wave of future technologies.
Participants will also learn about the future of aircraft cabins and in-flight connectivity from executives at Recaro, Thales, Panasonic Avionics, and Viasat.
Day Two:
The second day will focus on the latest developments in air cargo, logistics, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) in the region.
The day will begin with a conversation with Khalfan Juma Belhoul.
He will highlight the key role of Dubai Future Foundation in shaping the future of aviation and logistics in Dubai.
This will be followed by a panel discussion on the dynamic global landscape of air cargo and logistics.
As well as the factors driving demand, and digital transformation.
The session will include the following gentlemen:
- Nadim Sultan, Senior VP of Emirates SkyCargo for Planning
- Ram Menen, founding member of Emirates SkyCargo
- Hamdi Osman, Chairman and CEO of Solitaire Group
Speakers from Rolls-Royce, GE Aviation, Safran, JorAMCo, and GAMCO will discuss ongoing efforts to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of maintenance, repair, and overhaul in the region using next-generation technologies.

Day Three:
The final day will explore emerging potential for Web3 technologies, AI, and extended reality to boost workflow efficiency and improve service delivery in the industry.
The first panel will discuss strategies for customer feedback, using automation, and leveraging insights to make data-driven decisions that enhance service levels.
It will include senior executives leading digital and creative teams at Vision Box, Etihad Airways, Emirates Skywards, and Avis Budget Group.
Who will share how they are scaling their customer experience strategies.
The last session will include academics from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Along with officials from Microsoft Solutions and Emirates HR Management.
Who will highlight potential use cases for integrating extended reality and generative AI to streamline workflows in aviation.
