The UAE Football Association Reveals a New Brand Identity
The UAE Football Association (UAEFA) unveiled its new brand identity yesterday.
This was coinciding with the draw ceremony for the Round 16 of the President’s Cup.
Mohammed Abdullah Hazem Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the UAEFA expressed his happiness with the new logo launching and the development that took place under the blessing of the Board of Directors, chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the UAEFA.
He also wished the Board luck with this new development.

Al Dhaheri explained that the logo depicts a fort in white and gold, with symbolic meanings.
The fort connects to football as well as to bravery, strategic thinking, and defense.
He added that the clubs are aware of all the regulations for the President’s Cup competition.
Noting that the knockout format brings excitement and we will see it in the upcoming stages.
Al Dhaheri highlighted the UAEFA’s continuous commitment to developing and organizing accompanying events alongside matches or concurrent sporting events.
This competition holds a dear name in our hearts, and everyone, institutions, citizens, and residents, come together to participate in this prestigious cup and offer their best.

FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2024 in the UAE
On another note, the Secretary-General announced the readiness of all work teams to fulfill their roles effectively.
This is in preparation for the Beach Soccer World Cup that the UAE will host.
The countdown has begun for the 12th edition of the tournament.
Which will be in Dubai from February 15 to 25 with the participation of 16 teams.
Only 5 days left to receive the playing field located in the Dubai Design District.
Which building took just 24 days, setting a new record for the region and the Beach Soccer World Cup.
He confirmed the readiness of the infrastructure, including transportation, hotels, airports, and more.
“The UAE and Dubai have always accustomed us to hosting major international sport events with the best standards,” Al Dhaheri said.
“We are ready for the presence of many international stars attending the tournament, in addition to beach soccer stars and fans.”
Al Dhaheri confirmed that Adnoc Pro League is about to return after the previous break.
Due to the national team’s participation in the Asian Football Championship.
Wishing all clubs success in the league and the President’s Cup, as well as their participation in the AFC Champions League.
UAE Football Association Draws Lots for the Round of 16 of the President’s Cup
The UAE Football Association held the draw ceremony for the Round 16 of the President’s Cup 2023-2024 yesterday at the Erth Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The event attendants included:
- Members of the Board of Directors
- Representatives and coaches of the participating clubs
- A constellation of Emirati football stars
- In addition to various media outlets.
The ceremony began with a video presentation showcasing the most prominent football moments from the previous edition.
Afterwards, an electronic draw was conducted to determine the host stadiums for the Round of 16 matches.
As well as the distribution of numbers (from 1 to 16) electronically on the match schedule.
The draw for the Round 16 of the President’s Cup resulted in strong and exciting matchups:
- Ajman vs. Hatta at Hatta Club Stadium
- Sharjah (2022-2023 President’s Cup Champions) vs. Al-Bataeh at Sharjah Club Stadium
- Al Ain vs. Al Wahda at Al Ain Club Stadium
- Al Nasr vs. Khorfakkan at Al Nasr Club Stadium
- Ittihad Kalba vs. Dibba at Ittihad Kalba Club Stadium
- Shabab Al Ahli (2022-2023 ADNOC Pro League Champions) vs. Bani Yas at Shabab Al Ahli Club Stadium
- Al Jazira vs. Al Arabi at Al Arabi Club Stadium
- Al Wasl vs. Emirates at Al Wasl Club Stadium
The matches of the prestigious cup will be played in a single-elimination format.
The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played on neutral grounds.
While the final match will be held at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain City.
