The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship has announced the final opportunity for visa violators to settle their status.
With only 24 days remaining until the deadline on October 31.
This period allows visa violators to voluntarily leave the UAE without facing penalties with exemption from fines and avoiding a re-entry ban.
The authority emphasized that there will be strict penalties without leniency and confirmed that there will not be extension on allowance period.
Mentioning that the Authority will take legal action against visa violators after the deadline.
Opportunity to Resolve Status
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director-General of the Authority, stressed that they will intensify inspection campaigns.
This is in cooperation with government partners to track down violators.
Previous fines will be reinstated to those who fail to correct their status within the allotted time.
He highlighted that less than 24 days remain, urging violators to take advantage of this opportunity.
So they either leave safely without receiving a ban stamp or secure a job contract and obtain a new residency permit to work and live legally in the UAE.
Al Khaili explained that the Authority’s teams are closely monitoring the reactions of violators to the services provided.
They are also working to address challenges in collaboration with federal, local, and private sector partners, as well as relevant embassies.
Additionally, the Major General noted that field teams are monitoring the performance of accredited printing offices daily.
In order to identify the obstacles, guide the staff on the procedures for status correction, and address any potential violations as they occur.
Strict Legal Action Against Private Companies Employing Violators
Necessary legal measures are being taken to ensure a transparent and efficient process.
Offering violators a full chance to rectify their status within the legal framework.
Major General Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director-General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs at the Federal Authority for Identity stated that inspection campaigns will commence immediately after the allowance period ends on November 1.

He also emphasized that there will be no leniency towards visa violators.
Adding that there will be a strict legal action against private companies employing violators illegally.
He warned business owners to comply with laws and ensure their employees’ documents are in order to avoid penalties.
