In response to the recent earthquake that struck Myanmar, the UAE has sent urgent humanitarian aid to the country.
This aid batch comes as per the directives of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE (may God protect him).
Involved Parties
The initiative was carried out by the Joint Operations Command, through the operation of several air cargo flights and in coordination with the following parties:
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority
- Emirates Red Crescent
- the National Guard Command
- the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police
The urgent humanitarian aid to Myanmar reflects the UAE’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian efforts.
As well as its proactive response to global humanitarian crises.
What Does the UAE Urgent Humanitarian Aid Shipment to Myanmar include ?
The aid shipment includes over 200 tons of food supplies.
In addition to shelter materials, and medical assistance.
Hopefully, it will alleviate the suffering of those affected and support recovery efforts.
This humanitarian relief follows the completion of missions carried out by UAE rescue teams in the earthquake-affected areas.
It is also part of the country’s ongoing global efforts to support disaster-stricken communities.
