UAE Ranks 5th Globally in UNIDO Quality Infrastructure Index 2024
This year, the UAE has climbed six places to rank fifth globally in UNIDO Quality Infrastructure for Sustainable Development Index 2024.
Taking a special position among the top five nations with a GDP ranging between $100 billion and $1 trillion.
The index is a powerful tool in measuring the strength of a nation’s quality infrastructure.
Mentioning that the UAE achievements are attributed to the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.

HH Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, emphasized that UNIDO ranking is a testament to the UAE’s leading regional and international role in quality infrastructure.

The development of UAE’s quality infrastructure system has bolstered international confidence in the nation’s standards, regulations, and conformity assessment programs.

Including its election to chair the Metrology Council of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) for the period 2025-2027.
