The UAE Welcomes Security Council Resolution.

The UAE welcomes Security Council resolution calling for a complete ceasefire in Sudan during the holy month of Ramadan.
Hoping that it will be a positive step in resolving the Sudanese crisis and achieving peace and stability in the region.

The UAE Welcomes Security Council Resolution.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Security Council Resolution is a Step To Peace in Sudan.An Immediate Cessation of Hostilities Throughout Sudan during Ramadan.

In resolution 2724 (2024), adopted with 14 votes in favor and one abstention (Russia).
The Council also called on all parties to the conflict to seek a sustainable resolution to the fighting through dialogue.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Security Council Resolution is a Step To Peace in Sudan.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs hopes that this step would pave the way to end the crisis between the Sudanese parties.

Preventing further suffering of the Sudanese people, and facilitating the arrival of relief and humanitarian aid to the affected areas.
Especially for the most vulnerable groups, including the sick, children, and women.

The Ministry underscored its steadfast support for all endeavors working towards de-escalation and achieving a ceasefire.
and also initiating Political dialogue, that facilitates the restoration of peace, safety and security.
Which fulfils the aspirations of the brotherly Sudanese people for stability and prosperity.

An Immediate Cessation of Hostilities Throughout Sudan during Ramadan.

The UN Security Council resolution, unanimously adopted, was calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities throughout Sudan during Ramadan.
By urging all parties to ensure full, swift, safe, and unimpeded access for humanitarian assistance.

This step comes amid a deteriorating humanitarian situation in Sudan.
Where millions of Sudanese are suffering from food, water, and medicine shortages.
In addition to displacement from their homes due to armed conflict.

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority continued implementing its humanitarian programs, as the Emirati relief team began distributing Ramadan food to Syrian refugees in the Emirati-Jordanian camp in Murjeeb Al Fhood, in addition to a number of needy families in tents near the camp. pic.twitter.com/52QleGgE29
