The UAE veterans have confirmed their readiness to participate in the first Arabian Gulf Cup for Veteran Players.
This competition is going to take place in Kuwait from February 22 to 26, with the participation of eight national teams.
Former UAE football stars expressed their joy at returning to the field and competing again.
Especially in Gulf tournaments, which are known for their intensity, excitement, and strong media and fan interest.
The UAE Veterans Are Happy To Play Again
Munther Ali is one of the standout UAE national team players of the 1990s.
He said that he was overwhelmed with happiness to wear the national team jersey once again after years of retirement.
He added that selecting him for this tournament brought back fond memories of his past experiences with the UAE team in previous Gulf Cup tournaments and AFC Asian Cup finals.

For his part, Abdulrahim Jumaa emphasized the importance of such tournaments and called for their continuation.

Daily Training at Thiabh Awana Stadium
Meanwhile, the UAE national veterans team continues its daily training sessions at Thiabh Awana Stadium until their departure for Kuwait on Thursday.
The team will kick off its tournament campaign against Qatar on Saturday.
Followed by a match against host nation Kuwait on Sunday, and then a final group stage match against Oman on Monday.
