In a statement to the United Nations Security Council, UAE Ambassador to the UN Mohamed Abushahab said:
The UAE “has long been a steadfast supporter of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and statehood.”
He also condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.
Which resulted in the killing of over 9,000 Palestinians.
Mentioning that 70% of whom are women and children.
Moreover, he called for an end to Israel’s blockade of Gaza, which has caused a humanitarian crisis.
In addition, the UAE called on the international community to work together to bring an end to the conflict.
And also to achieve a just and lasting peace for the Palestinian people.
