The Ambassador of the State to Azerbaijan, Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Hamel Al Qubaisi, said in a statement: “The dispatch of the medical aid plane is a testament to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates adopting the approach of standing by the brotherly and friendly countries in various circumstances, especially in light of the challenges facing the world now in terms of fighting this pandemic.”
He stressed that cooperation and synergy between different countries of the world during the current period is the way to help us overcome the repercussions of this pandemic.
UAE sent medical supplies to support Colombia
In a related context, the Colombian government held a formal ceremony coinciding with the arrival of the second aid plane carrying eight tons of medical supplies, provided by the Emirates to support Colombia‘s efforts to contain the spread of the emerging coronavirus.
The Minister of Foreign Relations of the Republic of Colombia, Claudia Bloom, said during the official ceremony held on this occasion: Provided by the state, which will be necessary to limit the spread of the pandemic. ”
For his part, the State’s ambassador to Colombia, Salem Rashid Al Owais, said that the arrival of the second medical, preventive and food aid plane to Colombia reflects the extent of the United Arab Emirate’s government and people’s commitment to stand by the Colombian people.

United Nations appreciated UAE humanitarian approach
For its part, the United Nations Resident Coordinator to the state, Dr. Dina Assaf, said that the United Arab Emirates continues its pioneering humanitarian approach in supporting the countries of the world and supporting them to face the repercussions of the Corona crisis.
She explained that the United Arab Emirates is a unique model in human giving, calling on countries of the world to emulate this unique Emirati model.
The United Arab Emirates has provided more than 946 tons of aid to more than 67 countries, benefiting about 946 thousand medical workers.
