UAE President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, conducted telephone calls yesterday with the Leaders of many Countries, including:
King Abdullah II of Jordan, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt, President Bashar al-Assad of Syria, President Isaac Herzog of Israel.
And also the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada, regarding developments in the region.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed discussed with the leaders the need to stop the escalation and calm down.
In addition to the need to exercise maximum restraint to protect all civilians and preserve their lives.
And also the importance of the urgent move by the international community to contain the tension.
And to push the efforts made towards a comprehensive and just peace process.
Which guarantees that the region will not have any new crises that threaten its security and stability.
UAE President discussed with French President Emmanuel Macron the strategic relations between the UAE and France.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed also discussed with the French President the strategic relations between the two countries.
In addition to ways to enhance them in all their aspects in a way that achieves their common interests.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President Macron also talked about developments in the region.
And also about their serious repercussions at all levels.
They affirmed the need for regional and international efforts to work towards de-escalation.
As well as the immediate halt of escalation, violence, and restraint to protect the lives of civilians by avoiding the escalation of the situation.
Which will have serious repercussions for the security and stability of the region.
UAE President and Macron: Efforts should be pushed to establish permanent, comprehensive peace and stability in the region.
In addition, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed with Antony Blinken, Secretary of State of the USA, developments in the region.
As well as the ongoing escalation on the Israeli-Palestinian level.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed stressed the importance of exercising maximum wisdom.
Also he pointed out that the escalation from Gaza portends dire consequences for the region.
The two sides discussed international efforts to contain the current crisis.
Moreover, they agreed to continue coordination and consultations in the coming period.
And also they agreed on working to contain the current situation and save the region from further escalation.
