UAE President Cup carries Arabian Racing to Pimlico Race Course

The Arabian Jockey Club, AJC, stated that the wealthiest Arabian horse race in the United States , the United States, will indeed be part of one of the country’s biggest racing days this year. On October 3rd, at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore , Maryland, the $100,000 UAE President Cup, G1, will be held, sharing the world stage with the historic second leg of the elusive Triple Crown, The $1 million Preakness Stakes.

Holding under the patronage of His Majesty Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the assistance of His Majesty Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, and under the guidance of H.H. The Emirati-US equestrian carnival will carry a field of 12 strong fillies and mares, aged four and over, to participate in the 8th leg of the 27th UAE President’s Cup World Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, including the 1700-meter Group 1 UAE President’s Cup, on Saturday, with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The race was dominated by the very best in the event, from champions of the Horse of the Year to crowd favorites. This is not the first time this lucrative race at Pimlico has been held. It was last held in 2012 on Preakness Day. Also it was won by TM Fred Texas. He  was named the Darley Horse of the Year in 2011 and later won the Dubai Kahayla Classic in 2012.

The Finest are in the race

The UAE President’s Cup is sponsored by the UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs. Also it started in 1994 and is still the oldest global series of Arab horse races.
