HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and his brother Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, discussed yesterday fraternal relations and ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination in various fields.
In order to achieve the mutual interests of the two countries and their vision for sustainable development and prosperity.
HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, arrived in Abu Dhabi yesterday for a fraternal visit to the UAE.
Upon his arrival at Abu Dhabi Presidential Airport, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Head of State, was at the forefront of his brother Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani reception.
UAE President and Emir of Qatar stressed the importance of intensified efforts to achieve immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza
During the meeting in Abu Dhabi, their Highnesses UAE President and Emir of Qatar reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
The discussed issues were focused on the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza Strip.
They stressed the importance of intensifying efforts for an immediate and lasting ceasefire in the sector.
In addition to achieving the full protection of civilians, in accordance with the norms of international humanitarian law.
As well as enhanced response to Gaza’s worsening humanitarian situation.

The UAE and Qatar Support all the endeavors to halt the escalation in the region
The two sides addressed the proposals made by Joe Biden, President of USA, on the crisis in Gaza Strip.
Their Highnesses reaffirmed that the UAE and the State of Qatar support all serious initiatives and endeavors to halt the escalation in the region.
And also to protect the lives of all civilians and end their suffering in Gaza Strip.
By promoting a clear political horizon for a just, comprehensive and lasting peace based on a “two-State solution”.
Which will surely preserve the security and stability of the region.
