The formation of UAE new government structure

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as saying, “Brothers and sisters, after consulting with my brother Mohammed bin Zayed, who blessed the UAE new government structure and directed to harness all resources to preserve our gains and accelerate the development process in our state, and after the approval of my brother the President of the State we announce about UAE new government structure and our goal of structural changes.

A government that is

1. Faster in decision-making
2. More up-to-date with changes
3. Better in seizing opportunities and in dealing with the new stage in our history a flexible
4. A rapid government to enhance the achievements and gains of the state.

Sheikh Mohammed, brothers and sisters, announce the merging of ministries and agencies, change the powers and responsibilities and reshape the UAE new government structure as follows:

1. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum – Vice President, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense
2. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior
