UAE National Flag Day, an annual national occasion for everyone in the UAE.
The United Arab Emirates will celebrate National Flag Day on Friday, November 3, with official and popular celebrations.
The event has turned into an annual national occasion for the people of the UAE, citizens and residents alike.
So they can express their belonging and loyalty to the state and its leadership.
As well as their adherence to the values and principles inherited from the founding fathers.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed invited everyone to participate in UAE National Flag Day.
His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has called on all ministries and institutions to raise the flag uniformly at 10:00 AM on November 3rd.
This is via a post on his official account on the “X” platform, His Highness posted:
“Brothers and sisters .. as we have been accustomed to every year.. we celebrate National Flag Day on November 3rd.
We celebrate the flag of the homeland .. the flag of our pride, dignity, and glorious union.”
His Highness added:
“We call on all ministries and institutions in the state to raise the UAE flag on November 3rd at 10:00 AM simultaneously .. and with united feelings.
We also call on all citizens of the country to participate in this occasion ..
An occasion in which we express our renewed determination and firm will to work to keep this flag flying high..
Expressing our achievements, union, and the pride of our country.”
Unity, coexistence, and peace in the UAE.
The occasion embodies the feelings of unity, coexistence, and peace between the people of the homeland and residents.
It also consolidates the image of the UAE as a beacon of coexistence and tolerance in the region.
Men, women, youth, and children of all nationalities participate in this bright day to express their love for the UAE in different ways.
The occasion coincides annually with the approach of the state’s celebrations of the National Day.
Because the UAE flag raised for the first time on December 2, 1971.
And the first to raise it was the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, at the “Union House” in the emirate of Dubai.
National Flag Day has also been an occasion to record the UAE name in the Guinness Book of World Records in recent years.
In 2020, the Global Village in Dubai recorded a Guinness World Record.
By assembling more than a thousand UAE flags to achieve the Guinness World Record for the largest assembled number of flags in the world.
In 2019, the Dubai Police General Command achieved an accomplishment.
By entering the UAE flag in the Guinness Book of Records due to 2 records.
So the UAE Flag achieved two Guinness World Records: “the longest flag in the world” and “the most people carrying a flag.”
In 2018, “Skydive Dubai” succeeded in designing the UAE flag with the largest dimensions in the world.
(width: 50.76 meters x length: 96.25 meters, total area = 4885.65 cubic meters)
The length of the flag was 2020 meters (2 kilometers and 20 meters).
While the number of people participating in carrying it reached 5,000 from 58 nationalities around the world.
