UAE Mediation Successfully Facilitates Another Prisoner Exchange Between Russia and Ukraine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced the success of UAE mediation efforts.
As it facilitated a new prisoner exchange between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
Moreover, the Ministry confirmed that this successful mediation is the third one since the beginning of this year.
Mentioning that the UAE’s strong and balanced relationships with the friendly countries were the reason for this success.
Continuous Success for the UAE Diplomatic Efforts.
The UAE utilizes its strong relationships to find common ground to resolve regional and international challenges and conflicts.
This approach has contributed to the continued success of its diplomatic efforts.
Which resulted in the release of 200 Russian and Ukrainian prisoners of war.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its appreciation to the governments of the Russian Federation and Ukraine for their cooperation.
As well as their responsiveness to the UAE’s mediation efforts.
Which led to the success of the prisoner exchange.

The Ministry also reiterated the UAE’s readiness to continue and support efforts aimed at finding a peaceful solution for the conflict in Ukraine.
The UAE maintains its position of advocating for diplomacy, dialogue, and de-escalation.
And it also strives to support all initiatives that can alleviate the humanitarian consequences of the crisis.
It is worth noting that the UAE’s mediation efforts successfully facilitated two prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine in January.
While in December 2022, it facilitated the release and exchange of two prisoners between the United States of America and the Russian Federation.
