UAE Humanitarian Operations Intensified
In implementation of the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the International Humanitarian Affairs Council announced the intensification of UAE humanitarian operations to support the brotherly Palestinians in Gaza during Ramadan.
The new initiatives for Emirati aid during the holy month of Ramadan cover the areas of:
Relief and humanitarian aid, food and livelihood, healthcare and the needs related to the performance of worship.
They embody the UAE’s continued commitment to the values of solidarity and cooperation with the brotherly Palestinian people.
Achieving Supplies Sustainability
The UAE entities concerned with humanitarian work are working to achieve sustainability in the supplies of current relief and humanitarian initiatives.
They are also working to launch new initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan to enhance the spirit of human solidarity.
By meeting the necessary needs of Gaza Strip residents.
At the end of last February, the UAE launched “Birds of Goodness” operation to drop aid using Emirati and Egyptian aircraft.
Which amounted to 293 tons.
Mentioning that the airdrop operation was carried out by joint crews from the two countries on areas in northern Gaza Strip.
UAE Healthcare Initiatives
The UAE also built the Emirates field hospital in Gaza with a capacity of 200 beds.
Moreover, it includes a medical staff of more than 100 doctors and nurses, providing a variety of medical services.
Till now, it received 8,798 cases.
The UAE floating hospital was also inaugurated at Al-Arish port to provide the necessary medical support to the brotherly Palestinians.
Within the framework of the treatment initiative in UAE hospitals, 1,056 patients and companions were received in the UAE hospitals.

UAE Humanitarian Operations Covering Daily Needs
Six water desalination plants established by the UAE in Gaza.
Its production capacity reached 1.2 million gallons of drinking water per day, supporting more than 600,000 people.
In addition, UAE established five automatic bakeries, which are securing the daily needs of more than 72,000 people.
The production capacity of each bakery is about 15,000 loaves per hour, in addition they are providing flour to 7 existing bakeries in Gaza.
About the International Humanitarian Affairs Council
The establishment of “International Humanitarian Affairs Council” was by a federal decree in January of last year.
Headed by His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Council supervises all issues and matters related to international humanitarian affairs.
The UAE humanitarian operations in Gaza are a testament to the country’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and alleviating their suffering.
