The latest report issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation revealed that the number of countries benefiting from humanitarian assistance provided by the UAE to combat the “COVID-19” virus has risen to 73 countries, as the UAE provided 1087 tons of various medical aid assistance, and one million people benefited from medical care workers around the world.
The number of flights carried out by national carriers to deliver Emirati aid to the countries of the world reached 109 flights, to provide medical aid assistance that supported the first defence lines while facing the emerging Coronavirus.

The report stated that the assistance provided by the UAE included vital medical supplies, including face masks, gloves and artificial respirators, test units and examination equipment, protection and prevention equipment, the setting up of field hospitals to treat people living with the virus, as well as food aid, and the evacuation of nationals of countries to return to their home countries.
