The UAE is leading the response against the global crisis by instituting emergency provisions of Tawajudi service for valid residency holders located outside of UAE countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) announced the introduction of a new “Tawajudi for residents” program.
Tawajudi a service previously only offered to citizens of the UAE. But following the global health crisis caused by COVID-19 has been opened up to include valid residency holders too.
With communication and the ability to ensure the safety of citizens and residents being key priorities at this time. So, the expansion of Tawajudi Institute services shows a dedication to the health and wellbeing of all the UAE’s people.
What is Tawajudi?
Tawajudi Institute services offer assistance to UAE citizens who find themselves in an emergency situation when they are abroad.
By expanding Tawajudi services to include valid residency holders as well as UAE citizens, the UAE is ensuring the health and safety of as many people as possible.
Assistance for residents abroad
The program created to guarantee the health and safety of those holding valid UAE residence visas in emergency situations, such as the worldwide Coronavirus outbreak.
Tawajudi for residents will allow MoFAIC open lines of communication with valid residence holders during a crisis.
Systems have been put into place that will ensure that people will be safely returned to the UAE should the situation call for repatriation.
How to register for Tawajudi for residents
Registration and access to the “Tawajudi for residents” services made to be as easy as possible, ensuring that all citizens.

Under Ministry Services select “Individual Services”.
Scroll down until you reach the “Other Services” section.
Select “Tawajudi Resident” and click “Apply”
