Yesterday, Mohammed Ahmad Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defense Affairs, contacted Olivares Ramírez, Secretary of State for Defense in Spain, in order to discuss the latest coronavirus (COVID-19) updates. They also discussed the precautionary measures taken in the two countries.
During the phone call, Al Bowardi and his Spanish counterpart talked about the future military and defense cooperation that could take place between the UAE and Spain. They shared their views on a number of regional and international issues that seem to be of common interest.
In addition, Al Bowardi and Krasimir Karakachanov, Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and Minister of Defence, had a virtual meeting yesterday to discuss the importance of working together on containing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The two also discussed the possible opportunities for future defense cooperation between the UAE and Bulgaria.
