When people are required to stay inside their homes and their places of work shut down there are always going to be fears of lost jobs and finances. The UAE has announced economic stimulus packages to ease the devastation caused by the Coronavirus.
The stimulus package currently stands at 126 billion dirhams, which is around $34 billion USD.
“Coronavirus is a health virus, an economic virus, and a political virus too… and we say to all the countries of the world: It is the time for unity, cooperation, and solidarity to fight the worst enemy of humankind,” said Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rasheed Al Maktoum during a virtual meeting regarding the economic stimulus.
