His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed heads UAE delegation at the Int’l Conference on Gaza Aid
HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, led the UAE delegation in the Int’l Conference on Gaza Aid, which was held in Jordan.
The conference came at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, King of Jordan, His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, and His Excellency Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations.
The Conference aims to mobilize international efforts to support the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.
And also to provide them with urgent humanitarian assistance and strengthen the efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’s Firm Support For the Palestinian Brothers
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’ firm position in supporting the Palestinian people and advancing their just cause.
He also stressed the need to join the international community hands to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.
In order to provide for their basic human needs.
His Highness called for serious action to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region, based on the two-State solution.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed announced the UAE new financial contribution in support of UNRWA.
Outcome of the Conference:
The UAE’ participation in the Int’l Conference on Gaza Aid reflects its constant desire to provide humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people.
It also underscores the UAE’s leading role in international action to achieve peace and stability in the region.
The conference stressed the need to provide US $500 million in urgent humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
