The UAE Cybersecurity Council has revealed staggering figures reflecting the daily challenges in combating cybercrime, with more than 200,000 cyberattacks detected each day across the country.
Additionally, the detection of malware incidents has surged by 65.3% compared to last year.
This raises concerns over the increasing shift of ransomware attacks towards targeting critical infrastructure and businesses.
The council emphasized the urgent need to enhance cybersecurity awareness and adopt preventive measures.

Through its official social media platforms, the UAE Cybersecurity Council highlighted the growing cyber risks affecting individuals, businesses, and government entities.
It stressed the importance of staying informed and taking proactive steps to safeguard digital footprints.

To protect data from cybercriminals, the council recommended four key cybersecurity practices:
- Using strong passwords that include numbers, letters, and special characters.

With an annual growth rate of 8.37%.
