The UAE Cybersecurity Council has revealed staggering figures reflecting the daily challenges in combating cybercrime, with more than 200,000 cyberattacks detected each day across the country.
Additionally, the detection of malware incidents has surged by 65.3% compared to last year.
This raises concerns over the increasing shift of ransomware attacks towards targeting critical infrastructure and businesses.
The council emphasized the urgent need to enhance cybersecurity awareness and adopt preventive measures.

To protect data from cybercriminals, the council recommended four key cybersecurity practices:
