UAE Contributed $100 million to Development & Migration Conference.
Mentioning that the full amount is going to development projects in countries affected by irregular migration.
Furthermore, the contribution will support initiatives under the Rome Process, “a global effort to address the challenges of irregular migration”.
The UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, announced this during his participation in the International Migration & Development Conf.

In fact the conference discusses many topics such as:
-The challenges of irregular migration.
-The comprehensive solutions to address migration root causes.
-Ways to reduce irregular migration.
Noting that migration has several factors such as poverty, conflict, and climate change.
The UAE’s contribution with $100 million is a significant step in supporting countries affected by irregular migration.
Since this contribution will improve the lives of millions of people who flee their homes by force due to conflict, poverty, or persecution.
The UAE is a strong advocate for international cooperation on migration.
Also, the UAE believes that irregular migration is a global challenge that can only be addressed through coordinated international efforts.
No doubt, the UAE commitment to work with the international community to find solutions for the challenges of irregular migration is strong.
As well as helping in finding solutions to protect the migrants rights.
President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, has stressed the importance of international cooperation in addressing the issue of irregular migration.
He made the remarks during his opening speech at the International Conference on Development and Migration.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed said that irregular migration is one of the most serious challenges facing the world today.
Irregular migration needs total addressing, with a focus on development and stability.
Also, he stressed that development brings stability and peace within societies at international level.
The President also said that climate change is a major driver of irregular migration.
Since climate change causes drought, destroys agricultural crops, and increases poverty in many countries.
In this context, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed expressed that he hopes to meet with the heads of participating countries and their delegations in COP28 Conference, which will be hosted by the UAE later this year.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed confirmed the UAE commitment to work with the international community to address the causes of irregular migration.
Besides finding sustainable solutions to this issue.
Moreover, he stressed the importance of diplomacy and dialogue as tools for building trust.
Also he said that the UAE will continue to support peace and stability around the world.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has also stressed the importance of international cooperation in combating irregular migration.
During the opening speech Giorgia Meloni said: Italy is committed to work with the international community to find sustainable solutions to this issue.
Furthermore, she added that irregular migration is a major challenge for many countries around the world.
And that Italy will work with all stakeholders to address this issue and find solutions that meet the interests of all.
Meloni concluded by saying that Italy believes in the importance of working together to find sustainable solutions to the issue of irregular migration.
Also, she confirmed Italy’s commitment to do its part in order to achieve this goal.
