HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed the UAE strong condemnation and denunciation of the plots aimed at undermining security, inciting chaos, and causing material sabotage within the brotherly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
In a statement, His Highness reaffirmed the UAE’s firm stance.
As well as its consistent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that seek to destabilize security and stability.
Stressing that such acts are in violation of international law.
16 Individuals Involved in Plots to Undermine Jordan’s Security
Jordan announced on Tuesday that the General Intelligence Directorate had foiled plots aimed at undermining national security, inciting chaos, and causing material sabotage within the Kingdom.
Jordanian government spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Momani, stated that 16 individuals involved in these plots were arrested.
He added that the Directorate had been closely monitoring their activities with precise intelligence efforts since 2021.
According to the General Intelligence Directorate in Jordan, the plots involved:
- Manufacturing rockets using local tools, as well as importing parts from abroad for illicit purposes
- Possession of explosives and firearms
- Concealment of a rocket ready for use
- And a project to manufacture drones

Additionally, the plans included recruiting and training individuals inside Jordan and subjecting them to training abroad.
Jordan’s General Intelligence Directorate has referred the cases to the State Security Court for legal proceedings.
The statement did not specify which group or entity was behind the plots.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed praised the vigilance and efficiency of Jordan’s security forces.
He also emphasized the UAE’s steadfast support, solidarity, and backing for the Kingdom in confronting such attempts that target its national security, and in all measures it takes to protect its security and stability.
