The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is participating in the 53rd Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, from January 15 to 19, 2024.
The UAE delegation includes more than 100 business leaders, private sector representatives, and government officials.
Which is making it the third largest international delegation at Davos.
And also the largest in the UAE’s history of participating in the forum.
Participation in Davos Strengthens the UAE Leading Global Role.
The UAE’s participation in this global economic event reflects the vision of the President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Which aims at consolidating the UAE’s leading role on the international stage in all areas of cooperation and global partnership.
It is also in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Which aims at enhancing the UAE’s economic competitiveness on the global stage.
And also to exchange knowledge and expertise which support a sustainable national and global economy.
Al Gergawi: The economy is a top priority for the UAE
In a statement, His Excellency Mohamed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, said:
“The UAE’s commitment to participating regularly in the WEF in Davos reflects the importance that the country attaches to contributing positively to international forums in all sectors.
Especially the economic sector.
The economy is a top priority for the UAE.
And it is also a priority for all countries, governments, and international public and private entities.
Because it is linked to the development, prosperity, and well-being of all peoples and nations, and of humanity as a whole.”
Al Gergawi added:
