UAE and Kosovo Sign Visa Exemption Agreement
UAE and Kosovo have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, special, and ordinary passports.
Under the MoU, UAE citizens holding valid diplomatic, special, and ordinary passports for at least six months will be exempt from visa requirements for entry and stay in Kosovo for up to 90 days per visit.
Similarly, Kosovo citizens holding diplomatic, official, and ordinary passports will be exempt from visa requirements for entry into the UAE.
Foreign Ministers Welcome Agreement
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
As well as Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, welcomed the signing of the MoU during a phone call yesterday.
They emphasized the importance of this step in strengthening and developing bilateral relations.
And also serving the mutual interests of the two countries and their people.
Further Cooperation Between the UAE and Kosovo
Khaled Abdullah Al Buhaleel, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Jabir Hamiti, Ambassador of Kosovo to the UAE, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective countries.
This MoU comes within the framework of promoting bilateral relations between the UAE and Kosovo.
In addition to facilitating movement between the two countries.
It is also a significant step towards enhancing cooperation in all areas of common interest.
Including political, economic, cultural, and educational.

During the phone call, Sheikh Abdullah and Ms. Gërvalla-Schwarz also discussed bilateral relations.
As well as the ways to further strengthen them in all areas.
Sheikh Abdullah affirmed the growing bilateral relations between the UAE and Kosovo.
He also expressed his aspiration to enhance them to serve the mutual interests of the two countries and their people.
The ministers also discussed the situation in the Balkans and a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
They addressed developments in the Middle East.
In addition to the international community’s efforts to calm the situation in order to achieve a sustainable ceasefire.
Additionally, they discussed strengthening the international response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Sheikh Abdullah stressed the importance of ending the escalating extremism, tension, and violence.
In order ensuring the protection of all civilians from the consequences of the current crisis.
He emphasized the need to accelerate the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza in a comprehensive and sustainable manner to meet their needs.
Congratulations to Morocco
In another development, Sheikh Abdullah congratulated the Kingdom of Morocco.
This was on the occasion of the election of its permanent representative to chair the United Nations Human Rights Council.
It came during a phone call yesterday with Nasser Bourita, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed his best wishes for the Kingdom’s success during its presidency.
He affirmed that the Kingdom’s presidency of the UN Human Rights Council reflects international recognition of its ongoing efforts to promote and protect human rights.
As well as its prominent role in this field.
He also commended it as a significant achievement adding to its impressive record in all areas.
