Thani Al-Zayoudi: UAE and Costa Rica Committed to Developing Flexible and Sustainable Economies Reliant on Innovation
H.E Thani Al-Zayoudi, the UAE Minister of Economy, affirmed the commitment of the United Arab Emirates and Costa Rica to developing flexible and sustainable economies reliant on innovation.
This came during his meeting with His Excellency Dr. José María Figueres, the Minister of Foreign Trade in Costa Rica, in the capital Abu Dhabi.
Exchanging Expertise and Knowledge
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, investment, and innovation.
Moreover, the two sides agreed on the importance of exchanging expertise and knowledge in the fields of:
Technology, artificial intelligence, and the digital economy.
They are also working to launch joint projects that promote sustainable development in both countries.
His Excellency Al-Zayoudi pointed out that the two countries enjoy a distinguished geographical location.
In addition to a significant potential to increase the volume of trade exchange between them.
Strong Relations
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Figueres praised the strong relations between the United Arab Emirates and Costa Rica.
He also expressed his appreciation for the role the UAE plays in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.
He stressed Costa Rica’s desire to strengthen cooperation with the UAE in this field.
During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the UAE Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Trade in Costa Rica.
