His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, made a phone call with President of Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadéra.
What have presidents of UAE and Central African Republic discussed ?
During the phone call, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation.
Particularly in economic, trade, investment, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors.
The discussions aimed to advance shared development priorities and serve mutual interests.
Aligning with the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed between the two countries in March.

Both leaders emphasized their commitment to strengthening collaboration between both countries to promote sustainable economic growth and prosperity for their nations.
Additionally, they exchanged views on several topics of common interest during the call.
New CEPA
Recently, both countries signed an new CEPA to expand market access for locally produced goods in both countries, by the below:
- Eliminating or reducing customs duties
- Removing non-tariff trade barriers
- Fostering investment in agriculture, infrastructure, and technology

75% Growth in Non-Oil Trade
The non-oil trade volume between the United Arab Emirates and the Central African Republic reached approximately $252 million in 2024.
This volume reflects a 75% growth compared to the previous year.
UAE’s non-oil exports to the Central African Republic include essential consumer goods such as:
- Food products
- Textiles
- Electronics
- Machinery and pharmaceuticals
Meanwhile, the Central African Republic exports agricultural products like coffee, cotton, and cassava to the UAE.
As well as valuable mineral resources such as gold and diamonds.
