Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Attends G20 Summit in Brazil
On behalf of UAE President “Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan” Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is visiting Brazil to attend 19th G20 Summit.
G20 Summit is running from November 18–19 in Rio de Janeiro.
The summit focuses on fostering global cooperation under the theme, “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet.”
Strengthening UAE-Brazil Relations
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed visit highlights the growing ties of UAE and Brazil.
The relations between the two countries have advanced to a strategic partnership since 2019.
Moreover, UAE-Brazil trade reached AED 13.28 billion in the first eight months of 2024.
This has made Brazil the UAE’s largest trade partner in Latin America.
Mentioning that Emirati investments in Brazil total value reached USD 5 billion.
Those investments are led by major companies such like Mubadala, DP World, and First Abu Dhabi Bank.
UAE’s Role in G20
As a guest at 19th G20 Summit, the UAE goals align with Brazil’s presidency following priorities:
- Tackling poverty
- Improving global governance
- Addressing climate and energy challenges.
Over the past year, the UAE actively participated in G20 ministerial meetings covering trade, health, energy, and more.
The UAE also announced its support for Brazil presidency of COP30 in 2025.
This reinforces the efforts to reach secure affordable climate financing.
Adding that this collaboration builds on the UAE’s historic financial mobilization at COP28, driving $85 billion in commitments.

Economic Leadership
The UAE’s trade with G20 nations has witness a huge surge.
Moreover, it reached $393.2 billion in 2023, recording a total growth of 15.3% compared to 2022.
Non-oil exports alone increased by 11.5%, which showcases the country’s economic strength and strong ties with global powers.
The UAE demonstrates its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and economic growth.
