UAE Executes Two Airdrop Operations Delivering 130 Tons of Relief Aid to Gaza
On March 31st, 2023, the UAE carried out two airdrop operations delivering 130 tons of relief aid to Gaza.
The first operation, named “Birds of Goodness,” was the 20th airdrop of humanitarian and relief aid to the northern Gaza Strip.
It was part of the “Chivalrous Knight 3” operation to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The operation involved two C17 aircraft from the UAE Air Force and one C130 aircraft from the Egyptian Air Force.
The three aircraft dropped 82 tons of food and relief aid over isolated areas in northern Gaza that are difficult to reach by land.
This brings the total amount of aid dropped since the start of the “Birds of Goodness” operation to 989 tons.
UAE and Jordan
In another operation within the “Chivalrous Knight 3” framework, the UAE Air Force and the Royal Jordanian Air Force conducted their sixth joint airdrop of food aid to northern Gaza.
Moreover, the airdrop delivered 48 tons of relief supplies.
The two airdrop operations reflect the continuous cooperation and coordination between the UAE, Egypt and Jordan.
In order to provide relief and humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
Especially in the areas that are difficult to reach in northern Gaza.
