The UAE’s tourism sector continues to achieve positive results under the forward-looking vision of the wise leadership.
Hotel establishments revenues from January to October 2024 reached approximately AED 37.1 billion.
This reflects a 4% growth compared to the same period in 2023.
The UAE Tourism Council First Meeting in 2025
The first meeting of UAE Tourism Council for 2025 discussed World’s Coolest Winter campaign outcomes.
As well as its vital role in enhancing the UAE’s competitiveness as a leading global tourism destination.
The council also reviewed a range of diverse tourism initiatives and projects, planned to boost the growth of the tourism this year.
H.E Abdullah bin Touq, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the UAE Tourism Council, emphasized that the tourism entities efforts are continuous.
In order to implement tourism initiatives that serve the national goals of the sector.
Especially after the selection of Al Ain as the Gulf Tourism Capital for 2025.
This selection strengthens the UAE’s position as a leading global destination at both regional and international levels.

2025 Plans for Tourism Sector
Participants in the meeting reviewed the events and marketing programs to be undertaken.
In light of Al Ain’s selection as the Gulf Tourism Capital for 2025.
The programs aim to highlight Al Ain unique tourist attractions and encourage inter-GCC tourism.
The council has also discussed the latest developments in the Major Tourism Routes project.
After the completion of its first phase, which includes five tourism routes across the seven emirates.

Major Tourism Routes project
Those routes will enhance diverse tourism experiences for visitors and residents.
Particularly in eco-tourism, cultural tourism, adventure tourism, and festivals and events.
The council also discussed the UAE’s participation in regional and international events, conferences, and meetings this year.
Stressing their role in enhancing tourism cooperation with various countries and organizations worldwide.
As well as exchanging best practices and expertise in this regard.
