Environment Friends Society and Bani Yas Municipality Center Launch the “Together To Recycle Used Cooking Oil” Initiative
The Environment Friends Society UAE has partnered with the Bani Yas Municipality Center to launch the “Together to Recycle Used Cooking Oil” initiative.
This initiative aims at addressing current cooking oil disposal methods and encouraging recycling and reuse.
It also aims to develop solutions that incentivize communities to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.
The initiative’s team has been organizing awareness workshops in collaboration with various community organizations to achieve its objectives.
Facilitating waste disposal
Dr. Ibrahim Ali Mohammed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Environment Friends Society UAE, stated:
“I can say that the ‘Together to Recycle Used Cooking Oil’ initiative aims to effectively recycle used cooking oil.
It also aims at providing the necessary methods to facilitate waste disposal in a good manner.
One of the most prominent tools to implement the initiative is coordination with specialized lecturers to spread awareness.
In addition to providing containers for the collection of used oils,.
As well as a car with a delegate to collect used cooking oil from homes.
Unfortunately, one of the challenges facing sewage networks is the disposal of oil in drains.
This causes blockages in the long run, which prompts municipalities to intervene and carry out network maintenance.
Which is leading to additional costs and wasted time.”
