The GCC Women’s Games will be hosted in Kuwait, for three days, until October 29.
So far UAE women’s Taekwondo team took home four medals in the GCC Women’s Games, hosted in Kuwait, that has raised the UAE’s total 20 medals- in different fields of the games.
Shaikh Mohammad with officials after the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday approved a slew of legislations, policies and initiatives to enhance the leading role of women in our society, and raise the rates of their participation and representation in all areas, locally, regionally and internationally.
At a special session held at the headquarters of the General Women’s Union, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Cabinet adopted a new package of national legislation, policies and initiatives for Emirati women.
The new package is based on three main theses: legislation and policies; services and international representation. It includes policies, legislation and initiatives that support the advancement of women as an active partner in society and a cornerstone of its success.
